Generals (Guppy / Guang)
Generals are the player’s character that they control in-game. Throughout the game, players can control their general to walk around the board, however, this walking mechanic does not affect gameplay. generals can influence gameplay through their statistics and bonus effects, such as an effect that gives your units increased movement speed.
Each player will require at least one “deck” mentioned below, that consists of one general and fifty cards. Generals are acquired in two ways: they can either be bred from an NFT series or earned through in-game play as rare rewards. Though Guppy Generals are only available through breeding, Guang Generals are available through booster packs and in-game rewards. Generals can have advantages where specified units receive buffs and stat boosts making them the centerpiece for any deck build. The general mechanic is designed to give players control of their deck builds and enhance their strategies.
Generals’ bonus effects are unlocked at specific levels. A level 0 general will have no bonus effects. Upon reaching levels 3, 6, and 10, the general will gain a new bonus effect that is activated in-game. This style mechanic is designed to incentivize people to level up their generals through playing and slows down the overall progression without giving players with higher-tier generals too much power.
General’s Stats
Player’s generals don’t participate in combat. The winner’s general fires a projectile at the opposing general to cause damage. The general’s stats aren’t directly used in combat. This projectile’s damage is calculated by three variables: The attack stat of the attacking general, a round modifier that scales damage to be stronger later in the game, and additional damage scaling from the surviving units on the winning team.
There may be future NFT collections that will allow you to breed new general collections. At the moment, generals are not allowed to breed with other generals, however, this is subject to change in the future.
Guppy Generals
Breeding two Guppy Gang NFTs with GTT will produce a Guppy General.
Guang Generals
Guang Generals are obtained through in-game content. Whether it be from booster packs or in-game rewards.
